The Club has been the foundation of the local community; supporting community and sporting groups and has been heavily involved in larger events such as the annual La Fiera Festival, Myrtleford Festival and fundraisers.
Construction started in 1955 when Domenic Defazio saw a need for a local club for the Italian community. The Clubs first committee was formed in 1956 under president Luigi Roso and in 1964 it became the first rural Victorian club to receive a liquor license. Since then it has grown from a small club with very few members to over a thousand members and growing.
